Further map skills: Students will develop further skills on maps, in particular ordinance survey maps.

China: What do we know about China? Population, popularity, changing the fastest growing city in the world.
National parks: Where are they? How are they designed? The Yorkshire Dales, conservation for the future, conflicts in the national parks.
Diamond mining: Controvesry surrounding diamond mining, environmental and social impacts.
Glaciation and geological timescales: Our time on Earth, how glaciers work, how they shape the land, ice age and geological timescales, continental drift, plate tectonics.
